Bachelorette Flows: From Wedding Boom to Mindful Celebration

Since 2022, I’ve been leading bachelorette flows across the DMV, welcoming brides who are local as well as those traveling in for a weekend of celebration. That year was unforgettable, a true “wedding boom” as couples finally celebrated nuptials that had been postponed from 2020 and 2021. Everyone was ready to party, and energy was high, but I noticed something even more exciting: brides were craving experiences that felt intentional, memorable, and nourishing, not just wild nights.

I’ll never forget one of my first bachelorette flows that year (2022). Annapolis was apparently “going virtual” on TikTok as a bachelorette hotspot, a strange but exciting trend! The energy was electric, but what stood out to me was how many brides wanted a moment to pause, breathe, and connect with their closest friends before the whirlwind of wedding planning.

Fast forward to today, and that trend has only grown. Modern bachelorettes are leaning toward R&R-style weekends: off-the-grid Airbnbs, waterfront cabins, wineries, yoga sessions, arts & crafts, and just enough thrill to make it memorable. Even if some of the ladies call it a night early, mommas gotta rest, the intention behind the weekend is clear: slow down, savor, and make meaningful memories.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned leading these flows: don’t feel pressure to have a Pinterest-perfect session. The magic isn’t in perfectly staged photos or elaborate props it’s in the laughs, the shared energy, and the moments of connection between friends. Yoga and movement become a ritual for presence, reflection, and joy, turning a simple weekend into a memory that lasts long after the confetti is swept away.

Bachelorette flows are more than just a wellness activity, they’re an opportunity to celebrate love, friendship, and the power of slowing down together. Every laugh, toast, and shared breath reminds us that softness, connection, and intentionality are what truly make a weekend unforgettable.
