5-Minute Yoga Reset: A Simple Yoga Practice for Busy Days
Sometimes you don't need or have 45 minutes... You just need five minutes to pause, breathe, move your body, and reset.
One morning, I had no registrations for class. But I had made myself a promise at the beginning of the year: even if no one signs up, I’ll be there and class is still running.
So I showed up and taught anyway.
And instead of letting the quiet morning discourage me, I decided to record part of the class and turn it into something you could take with you.
That morning became my first long-form YouTube video. 🥹
It isn't heavily edited or overly produced and honestly, I'm happy about that. I wanted to share a simple, accessible practice that you can actually fit into your day.
Try This 5-Minute Yoga Reset
Whether you're starting your morning, taking a break between meetings, coming home after a long day, or simply feeling like you need to reconnect with yourself, this short practice is an invitation to slow down and move with intention.
Why a 5-minute reset?
You don't always need an hour on the mat to benefit from movement.
A few intentional minutes can give you an opportunity to:
reconnect with your breath
gently wake up your body
release some everyday tension
create a little space in your day
shift your energy before moving on to what's next
Think of it as a reset button, not another thing on your to-do list.
New Videos Are Coming
This video also marks the beginning of something I've wanted to do for a while: creating more instructional yoga content for you to practice with wherever you are.
I'll be sharing more yoga flows, movement practices, lifestyle, wellness and creative content on my YouTube channel.
If you'd like to practice with me outside of the studio, subscribe to my YouTube channel and stay connected for what's coming next.
And if you have a particular type of video you'd love to see, let me know! I'd love to hear from you.
Your turn
You don't need a perfect morning. You don't need a full hour. And you don't need to wait until you "have time."
Sometimes five minutes is enough to begin again.
Take five. Breathe. Move. Reset. 🤎
xoxo, Courtney
